Risky Behavior

During our trip to Disney World we told Kaylee and Aaron to take a chance, to take a risk, and to overcome their fears so that they would have no regrets. They are both scared of roller coasters...but they each took a risk and eventually overcame that fear (to some degree). They each had their limit and they were each brave and went on some pretty big rides. It was funny though; each time we got in line for a new ride, Kaylee and Aaron would get a panicked look and ask if it was a roller coaster...even on Peter Pan and Winnie The Pooh.

We had to use a little trickery like telling Kaylee that the Tower of Terror was called The Tower of Fun. I hope we haven't damaged our kids :)
Kaylee went on Tower of Terror and cried at the end...but she went.
They both went on Space Mountain...and loved it.
They both went on a Dinosaur ride...and made it through by closing their eyes and plugging their ears.
And their favorite ride of all.....Thunder Mountain Railroad! Even Nathan loved this one.

I am so glad that they took a risk so that they could experience new things and so that Eric and I weren't stuck on the kiddie rides the entire time!
By the last day they were even brave enough to hold an alligator.

This will probably be the one and only time that I am encouraging risky behavior...especially when they become teenagers!

We convinced my 4 year old to go on Tower of Terror. He cried the second we got off the ride-but not during it. I love being a parent! PUSHING our kids to grow & try something new. or maybe just tricking them into something new! its entertaining!
