Disney World Count-Down

Here is my next homemade gift...unwrapped. We have been saving and saving for years to be able to take our kids to Disneyland...and this year it is going to happen :) For Christmas we surprised our kids with a trip to Disney World. We did a little treasure hunt around the house. At each stop was a present leading up to the big reveal. We had Disney stuffed animals, Disney movies, this count-down, airplane activity bags, and finally luggage with the tickets inside. It was SO EXCITING!

This count-down has been a great visual reminder of how many days we have left until the big day. I just found some cute Disney scrapbook paper and mounted it on black and red card stock. The numbers are stickers with a transparent background. I then punched two holes in the top of each circle and strung them onto some tulle. I made a little black Mickey head and glued it to a paper clip as the marker. Each day we move the little Mickey closer and closer to #1...I just wish that he would move a little faster!
